Beeston to Blackburn

I am traveling from Beeston to Blackburn on New Years Day. I am coming back on the same day with a 16-25 railcard. Leaving Beeston around 9am and leaving Blackburn around 6pm

What options for splitting my ticket do I have to minimise fare?

I am sure splitting at Sheffield is best.

Beeston - Sheffield £8.10 (Off Peak Day Return)
Sheffield - Blackburn £15.60 (Off Peak Return) via Stockport
Total £23.70

On the East Midlands Trains Website there was also a £14.45 Anytime Day Return Sheffield to Blackburn via Leeds but couldn't find this on East Coast website. This would bring the cost down to only £22.55.

Advance fares = £24.40 return (09.25 from BEE, 18.11 from BBN).
Off peak return = £31.60. Splitting tickets doesn't make it any cheaper (£38.80, split at DGT).

I have super off-peak day return Beeston - Manchester £13.65 and off-peak day return Manchester - Blackburn £5.90

Total = 19.55

I forgot about the Super Off Peak Day Returns from the Nottingham area to Manchester as that will work out much cheaper.
I usually travel from Chesterfield and so journeys to stations in Lancashire beyond Manchester often work out cheaper with a split at Sheffield because of the relatively high prices of returns for the much shorter journey from Chesterfield to Manchester in comparison to from Nottingham.
