Beaches

[Bittern]

On the Isle of Wight, from Sandown beach you can see ships passing on the horizon. These can make pretty spectacular views at night. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any Scottish beaches where you can see ships passing in the distance? The closest I've found is perhaps Burntisland, but does anyone know for sure?

You could look at the AIS website and see where the shipping regularly passes close to the shore, then look for beaches in the relevant area?

There's currently a cargo vessel that would be within view of the beach at this moment. I'm sure with her lights on, she'd be making a pretty sight.
