Did anyone but myself and I suspect "Owen Glen Greenback" watch this fascinating series of six programmes on BBC 2 fronted by Huw Edwards ?

I really enjoyed it , at least Huw Edwards didn't spend half the programme "flicking his hair" like his Scottish counterpart Neil Oliver in both History of Scotland and The Vikings

Huw Edwards impressed me with his command of the "mother tongue" - I was in Abertawe on the night of the devolution referendum in 1997 (when they scraped it after the 4 to 1 reverse on the previous one) and he hosted the "Election Special" that night.

Current affairs staff seem to fronting a much wider range of progs with Edwards joining Marr, Paxman and Dimbleby "on the road"

Huw Edwards has the advantage of being a Llanelli boy, where he is almost certian to have been brought up with a great understanding of our native tongue(far better than me) on account of Llanelli being in one of the great Welsh speaking areas of South Wales.

It is a good series. So much 'British' history as generally taught (if it still is?) and known is actually English history, it's nice to see things from a different perspective.

Does wales have any history? - i thought it became part of England in about 432 when we tricked you out of your country! :)

(before i am lynched i would like to point out this is a joke!)

Watch it, thought it was very informative.
What's for sure, the days of London ruling the roost are gone forever.

Good job I have a sense of humour, despite what you may hear!;)

Look out for "Greenbacks" beloved Llanelli - I don't think he actually appears !!

I always try and avoid TV cameras these days, but there's always a slight chance I am lurking in the background trying to see what is going on!

Surely being a bright green toad wearing a bright yellow suit makes it quite hard to lurk in any circumstances?

I am often in disguise nowadays, so that Dangermouse won't recognise me and thwart my evil schemes.

I have learnt from the mistakes of the past, hahahahahahaha!
