A run over to the Battlefield on Sunday was meant to be a day on the bash as the weather forecast was for drizzle, rain and general s***e! In reality, it was sunny from about 11:00 onwards! So, I was obviously gonna get sunburnt having not prepared for an afternoon at the lineside...

3 x 56 and 1 x 73 is a bit of a random sight - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870085.html
33019 - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870086.html
Back at the farm crossing near Congerstone, 56040 and 31130 - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870087.html
And then 47640, although the sun had gone too far round by now - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870089.html
25067 - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870091.html

Best sight of the day though was this 1943 vintage Tiger Moth! http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p64870094.html

Nice, bit more choice than when u are on the trains! Any of the grids actually working by Sunday?

Couple more here from Sat http://redcow.fotopic.net/c1813158_25.html

56098 - completely knackered
56040 - just about working
56086 - ditto

A tad disappointing really - the brake translators did far too much of the work in the end, which wasn't what I paid my money for! Still, s**t happens - 56s were never the most reliable beasts were they?!
