Wondered if someone knew the answer to this one...

I need to go to Basingstoke in a couple of weeks time, starting my journey from Folkestone. When I get to London, I'll continue from Waterloo, but would it be possible to go via Reading and Paddington on the return journey?

Many thanks.

Assuming you're using a walk-up ticket on route: Any Permitted, the London to Basingstoke leg of the journey (and vice versa) is valid via Reading. (It's a mapped route on map PZ ).

You might want to find the ticket you're planning to use on www.brfares.com (e.g. http://www.brfares.com/#!fares?orig=0432&dest=BSK ) to check you won't hit any additional time restrictions at Paddington.

Brilliant, thank you. I'll be travelling on a Saturday, so that shouldn't hit any time restrictions, and it'll be a walk-on ticket.
