Good Afternoon. I think this is a bit of challenge, but.......would any of you knowledgeable souls out there know roughly what a 2 Adults and 2 children open return (returning within 7 days) would have cost for a ticket Basingstoke to Falmouth via Exeter St.Davids would have cost in 1975 please?
This was my first ever Train Trip where I actually started collecting numbers / haulages. Distinctly remember 'Western Queen" taking the Plymouth- Truro section.
It was a real thrill (for an 11 year old, to see the same Loco on the front cover of the 1976 hardback "Combined Edit" the following year!!!!! Happy Days
