A BritishRailways.tv exclusive!

This 8mm film was only discovered a few weeks ago along with many others from the last years of steam and was filmed in 1968 at Woodham Brothers Scrapyard, Barry in 1968.

The film has been professionally restored and delivered back to us today and uploaded to our website for everyone to enjoy.

There are many locomotives shown which are now well known on preserved railways across the country, a few noted but we're sure people must know more in this film...

Gosh...I was only 10 then........!!! I did visit Barry several times with my Kodak Instamatic and took some equally rubbish photos on grey overcast days. Good however to see how it was then while the paint was still on the locos.

You also see how much has gone into modern videos today with sound & HD. Thanks for posting.
