Barrow Hill are advertising 'Railpower' on the 22-25th August. Billed as a 'celebration of the history of railways' it looks like it could be the biggest event of it's kind since 'Railfest' at the NRM:

All we need now is a rota that they WILL stick to for the shuttles, i hear 37275 could be providing power on them at some point, hopefully on the Friday as there seems to be bugger all out that day so could do with a day out!

I attended today. A quite excellent day out, slightly marred only by East Midlands Trains putting on a 2 coach DMU each way between Stockport and Chesterfield - ludicrous on a bank holiday Friday!

why I chose to go via Derby on the way - but due to circumstances back in Nottingham I had no choice but to get 158858 from Chesterfield which was rammed :x

the smell of the bus reminded me of when I was younger - smelt of old bus :lol:
