barrow haven crossing upgrade enquiry (URGENT)

we are planning to go to barrow haven crossing this Friday to witness a train traveling over on what i am sure is the LAST open give way crossing on the network outside of ports or private yards, i would just like to know when is the upgrade to barriers taking place? we could delay this long drive to visit if it is being upgraded in september as will be in the area in august and could visit barrow haven then.

I can't help with your question, but I don't think it'll be the last anyway. I think there are still three open crossings (signs only) on the Heart of Wales line, and I'm not aware of any plans to change them.

As per by Bald Rick's comment, Pembroke and Tenby has open road crossings (Llanion, Manorbier Newton and Beaver's Hill). The train has to stop and toot at these, no barriers, no wigwam lights, just an unlit wigwam sign and give way (on the road) sign.
