Barrier error code

Does anyone know what error code 116 on the barriers means ?
I get this every time I put my season ticket into the barriers at WGC & have to ask the staff to let me through. (ever since they were installed). It works OK in teh barriers at all other intermediate GN stations.

As far as I'm aware, 116 means that the ticket isn't valid for entry/exit at the station. What's the origin, destination and route on your ticket? It's possible that, even if your ticket is from/to Welwyn GC, there may be another setting on the gates that's overriding the origin/destination on the ticket.

Annual season Letchworth to Potters bar.
it works OK at Potters Bar, Hatfield, Stevenage, Hitchin & Letchworth.

WGC is the only barriered station en route where it never works. I know several other people with season tickets from Hitchin/Arlesey etc who have the same problem at WGC.
