Barons Court Underground Station has reported access issues

Barons Court: Part Closed - Eastbound District line trains are not stopping at this station while we fix faulty station equipment. Please use the Piccadilly line to complete your journey.

However, I saw a dozen or so confused passengers in the brief moment I was there.

I tried to change from Piccadilly westbound onto the District Line eastbound, to get to West Kensington, only to find I was unable to.

Platform displays said "Check front of train", trains stopped, lights went on, and the dwell was for the usual time, but doors didn't open.

I figured out what was going on and I advised several confused passengers going to places like Westminster, Sloan Square etc that they should change at South Kensington (in hindsight, I should have changed there myself).

Barons Court eastbound remains the boundary transition point from legacy signalling to CBTC for District line trains, so trains will still have to stop and dwell for a 'usual' amount of time whilst that process takes place.

Non-stopping will have no bearing on train describers.

For future reference by the time you've gone up and over at Barons Court and waited for a train you could be a reasonable amount of the way to West Kensington - it's an easy approx 5-7 minute walk.
