For the first time ever I have just seen on the SR website,

£19 x 2 seats, Euston to Fort William, Tues Nov 13th

I knew they did them but they are hard to get, pity I can't go.

Strange you should mention the sleepers, I had to buy a ticket today to Inverness in a month or two and was expecting an £80 (priv) fare for a berth and somehow got a £30 Advance! (I'm sure they weren't available earlier in the day).

It was at 9.55 this morning, gone now of course. Although there are 2 seats at £29 for the 14th of Nov now.

Used BB for the first time In Jan this year and my berth mate was Railway staff, he was most miffed I paid less than him.

It's always a bit of a touchy subject when the public fare is cheaper than the staff fare! I will probably be sharing with someone (axe murderers need not apply!) but I'm not that fussed given the fare paid.

Is a daft question to ask, Do you ever get 1st Bargain Berths?

No such thing as a daft question (just daft people! ) I don't believe there are any 1st bargain berths.

I wonder what the update of SR's BBs are now that Megabus has started the Glasgow - London overnight sleeper bus. Last time I went to London, there were no BBs, and the cheapest sleeper I could get was £65 each way. I got the Megabus for £65 there and back.

Just got a £19 Bargain Berth for the Fort William portion for November. Rare as hen's teeth.

£29 for the 14th Nov for Euston - Fort William is still rather cheap!
