Bargain berths - quota release dates?

Hello everyone.

Does anybody know, is the date when bargain berth quotas are released the same as for the usual National Rail tickets (sometime thursday night or friday morning). Or is it just as and when they choose?

IIRC, it's sometime on Friday morning, during office hours, although I've not followed it closely anytime recently, so it's possible the system has changed. While the calendar is handy, it makes it a lot easier to find cheap tickets than the only system, so I find it much harder to get bargain berths these days

We got cheap Inverness - London tickets, but I checked the site at lunch time every day until the date we wanted appeared!
