Does anyone know if there is a particular day and or time that Scotrail adds available Bargain Berth tickets onto its website for sale?

Last year I booked for my wife and I and we were allocated berths together. I can't remember what questions were asked in the booking process.

you have an option to tick a box labelled 'sharing' Each bed is assigned a number. You are together if the odd number is lower than the even. (ie; 1 and 2 are in the same compartment, 3 and 4 are, 4 and 6 etc...)

Its maybe worth pointing out that if your interested in the highland sleeper the quotas for Fort William and Inverness are quite limited and are not available everyday of the week.
I reckon for instance the £19.00 tickets are probably only a couple of bunks a week.

Not quite what you're asking, but when I booked three berths (Myself, Mrs wijit and wijit junior) we were allocated adjoining berths. Both were two berths and had a door which could be opened to make one larger berth. Based on this I would say that wherever possible they will book a double.
