We were on a LM service out of New Street a few years back, the guard came into the carriage and started "rapping",(if that's the correct term), it went something like this:-
"The train has just left Birmingham station"
"Let me see your ticket for your destination"
When he got to us it went something like this:-
"I see you 2 are travelling together"
"Let's hope you get some lovely weather"
Then there was the guard on a late running service from Manchester who apologised for the delay explaining it had been caused by problems with a London bound train.
He then announced it was probably taking the Man Utd fans back home, (they had a game the night before at Old Trafford), he then said he couldn't understand why anyone would want to live there, discretion prevents me from typing the exact words but, suffice to say Donald Trump used the same exact word recently.
