Part of me loves his work. The other thinks this will only just encourage those who don't have anywhere near the same artistic talent to do the same thing...

(However as this is just a cartoon image, I must say that I did find it excellent - but then, I'm adult enough not to now get a spray can and go out tonight tagging the real things)

I actually saw that at an exibition of his work in the Bristol Museum on Saturday (free and runs until the end of August if anyone is interested - but did wait 45mins to get in). There was also one of Brunel next to a "Rail Replacement Bus Services this way" sign.

Banksy is an outstanding artist whose 'graffiti' has propelled him to mega bucks and huge recognition (how many other art galleries have a 45 minute wait?) all whilst remaining completely anonymous.

Jonmorris is right though. There will be many 'artists' out there who have seen his work and think it is high time they got involved. It takes a special kind of talent to be able to vandalise a city and then have the residents of that city vote to keep his work on the walls that have been sprayed - a special kind of talent that the majority of 'artists' do not have.

As far as the picture in question is concerned; fabulous! Yet another mind blowing piece of thought provoking art.

N.B. The curator responsible for the banksy exhibition at Bristol art gallery lost her job when management found out. They are utter fools who have absolutley no concept of what ordinary folk want to see in art. If I were them, I would be walking around looking a bit sheepish having seen the queue.

Funnily enough I managed to find out who banksy is (and no im not joking or trying to look cool) Due to me skateboarding and knowing a few people who know people who know Banksy I was told who he was obviously I wont mention his name as it unwritten law.
But don't get me wrong I love all things railways but I love that as it is different and well is against the establishment.
If it was a real life implementation then I would be strongly against it.
