The new Cannon St entrance to Bank will probably be an OSI with the existing Cannon St underground, but there won't be an internal paid side link AFAICS, a walk along the outside pavement will still be required.

There's already an OSI between Bank and Cannon Street though isn't there? Or is that just Cannon Street NR?

MikeWh's list suggests the latter, there's no Bank to Cannon St LU. http://www.oyster-rail.org.uk/osi-list/

It's all a bit odd though as they do show Bank to Monument, although they are already the same station. I suppose people might get lost and come out on the street though...

Yes, that's the reason. And there's no Bank to Cannon Street LU because anyone doing that would stay within the Bank/Monument station.

Would they? For a Northern/District connection, that would be true, but if you're changing from say Central to District, then wouldn't the street-level walk to Cannon Street be shorter than the underground walk to Monument? (Although admittedly, I can't think of many journeys for which changing from Central to Circle/District at Bank would be a sensible route)

If you'd entered Liverpool Street underground, wanting to go to Temple (say) and just missed a Circle, then maybe?:)

There may be journeys between the southern part of the District/Circle and the eastern part of the Central where the fewer stops west of Mile End on the Central justifies the slower change at Liverpool Street. But I can't see it as being a major flow except perhaps in times of disruption.

Agreed.
