That's Caxton curve. It's very sharp, its radius is about 200m.

Nothing on the Bakerloo today matches the black dust found on the Northern in the mid 1980's - a combination of tunnel dirt and ferrous brake blocks. Put your arm on the window ledge and remove it with black smears. White shirts lasted a day - max....

Much cleaner today - I find no fault with it. It is also the warmest line apparently.

The 1995TS and related upgrade work helped a lot on the Northern Line, still carrying on today with new and reconditioned ventilation assets.

Yes - I meant the Bakerloo being the warmest - ! lovely in really cold weather , not so great in the summer.

I do beleive plans are afoot to cool it down should it be required (it will be) by the "New Tube for London" (Deep Tube Programme)

I'd love to be able to tell you, but as of the last time I knew what was happening it was structural repairs only. However, the scope has now changed since the "New Tube for London" project has been kicked off and taken over from the SUP as someone's toy project. So the expected lifetime has changed, chances are more will be being done than structural repair, no idea how much though.

Retractioning and rewiring with a new cab has been mooted previously, but I dowbt it will go that far, but I suspect a lot more than structural repair will be done.

thanks. I was interested to note that the TFL Media Release mentioned new tube for London replacing 1992TS Also? I know they aint great but there going to have a short life compared to some.↲

That is correct.

The DTP (I hate the term "New Tube for London" it's come from someone in the marketing department that thinks it sounds good but it's too close to the farce of the NBfL for my liking) will cover 1992TS, 1973TS and 1972TS fleets (Excluding engineering vehicles based on 1972MkI and 1967MkII units and the Aldwych unit)

There are also the 6xx units that are already double ended 3 car units with twin compressors so very little mods required with regards to layout and whatnot.
