You know this is a game right? Its free

Its called BVE4 and although tbh the community hasn't been too good in recent years, I'm pretty sure it must be availiable for download somewhere You can still download of lot of routes for it and trains

It is cab-view only though, and the last Windows it installs on without any issues I believe is XP, although I think it was possible to use it on Vista with a few extra downloads.

I'm sorry I can't help much more at the moment, but hopefully someone can provide you with some links as I simply don't have the time at this very second, but if not I'll try and remember to do a few searches tomorrow

It can't be. I was on the train that day, I'm sure it was real and not another one of those hallucinations. And it wasn't free. They made me pay about £6 for the ticket.

Although I thought it was pretty weird that there were several women in identical green dresses at every station. Is it the new uniform or something ?

I remember the Northern line being quite good, don't know whether it's still available after Trainsimcentral closed.
WOS3 is streets ahead though not freeware.

Hi all,

This route is still available from the same host under a different URL http://www.trainsimstuff.org . The Bakerloo Line can be found under Older Routes.

The Links page help you locate other BVE routes and traction.

BVE4 has moved onto BVE5 but it has little to no English language support and there is a real need for a Japanese speaking member to translate the instructions etc into English. BVE4 works fine under XP or Windows7, it is not great under Vista and requires to much work to get it running.

OpenBVE will run pretty much all BVE2 and 4 material and has user requested extensions to the BVE offerings. OpenBVE is a great choice as it now the English speaking worlds simulator of choice. BVE5 is awesome and offers much more than BVE4 but until we get an understanding of the syntax, we still await our first English speaking offering. There is a converter that takes both the route and the traction from BVE4 to 5. This works fine but as it is just importing an existing route it does not take advantage of the new features that BVE5 has to offer.

The train used in the video is a 1967ts btw not a 1972ts which it should be hence the wrong TBC

Hi,

One of the great things about BVE (and many other sims) is that you can drive any form of traction on any route. If you want to drive the "correct" rolling stock then select in the menu.

BVE in any of its incarnations and OpenBVE are completely free. Also there are some great routes out there and equally great stock to drive on them. All of the scenery that appears in the routes was created by the author as there is no official pool of items from which to choose.

Some of the best routes are made by a team of members working together to create something for all to enjoy. Being a community based sim this is what it is all about. The one notable exception is Anthony B that makes IMO the best routes that have ever appeared for the sim.

I used to use this game ( this was a few years ago) and it was a good game but the only problems I found with it was there was no central database for routes and you have to search the Internet for one route that would work and not lots of other downloads needed, (one site needed about 3 to work and it used a queue system witch took 3 hours to get through) also the installation was a pain, sometimes it came with a automatic installer. But other than that its a good game
