Is this the unit that's refurbished with LED screens inside?
I wouldn't call it a screen, but it's an orange dot matrix LED, externally looks similar to the 73 stock.

Edit: since the 72 stock refurb is so delayed, perhaps they can wait for the 73 stock to retire, and then recover the LEDs for use on the 72 stock. :D

Is this the first time 52 year old trains have ever been refurbished?
I know the question was asked in March but doesn't seem to have been answered. The 72 stock had a major refurbishment 25 or more years ago. If you ever get to the London Transport Museum Acton collection you can see the style of the original interior on the Mk1 72 stock vehicle, albeit the Mk2 units had a blue moquette when built.

Indeed. The original interior was very austere and similar to the C69/77 and 1967 stock. I remember how much the current interior transformed the trains.
