Can anyone offer any insights into what has gone wrong?

The Bakerloo line has been reporting an “operational incident” in “the” (which?) depot which is preventing them from running north of Queen’s Park.

I've seen comment elsewhere on the internet ( no - I don't have links available; I'm not going to go searching for them again... ) which suggest a derailment at Stonebridge Park has split an important set of points.

Whether that's accurate or not, I don't know.

There’s a track defect on Network rail, with an out of gauge negative conductor rail causing damage to the trains .

On Monday 15th there was a derailment in Stonebridge Park depot, Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th it’s down to the Conductor Rail issue stated above by @lonogrol

No - from what I can see they are running the full length of the line, although there appear to have been a separate issue today and there are currently "severe delays".

Correct me if I have misunderstood here but given that the Overground Service was able to run as normal, what was preventing the bakerloo running north of queens park?

As far as I am aware, the issue was within the Stone bridge park depot, so only the stone bridge park reversers were affected? What was stopping the Harrow and wealdstone terminators going all the way?

Post #3 explains it was a negative rail defect somewhere on the Network Rail section (Queen’s Park-Harrow) that was causing damage to Bakerloo trains and required investigation.

the isssue wasnt within the depot, which is L.U.L infrastructure, it was N.R infrastructure, albeit on the approach roads

At the time it became apparent, it was only suspected to be somewhere on N.R infrastructure + the exact location was not known

As Stonebridge is also the only full depot on the line the number of trains avaliable for service was limited, therefore running all the way to H+W doesn’t really make sense given there is the L.O on this part of the line and it would have resulted in reduced headways
