Badges, T key and other bits

Today, whilst sorting through my late uncle’s house contents I found some of my Grandfather’s British Rail badges and a T key, also not in the pic are a couple of bakerlight acme Thunder whistles. I also found an old ticket for Gillingham station.

My Grandfather was a Porter at Semley Station after the war and lived his life in Shaftesbury.

Sharing as I know nothing more than what I have shared, and thought seeing them may be of interest to others here.

Cheers! Yes, maybe! I shall keep an eye out for other bits as well, I seem to recall a jacket when I was a nipper, but didn’t see that today.

Definitely a luggage label. A nice collection of badges, not rare but no doubt very sentimental to you. He must have been issued the brown badges in 1963 when Semley (and the line) was transferred to the Western Region.

I don’t know much about those I’m afraid but there is (11/32) in the top left corner if that means anything.

That sounds about right, I believe the station closed in 66. Yeah, it’s nice having these for sure. The T key he used especially.
