ModelZone Holborn still had seven limited edition blue 4ceps yesterday morning when I bought mine, as well as some stocks of blue-grey and green. I popped in by chance and was surprised to find the limited editions in stock. I'm looking forward to Bachmann releasing the blue-grey units with different numbers.

I was at the London Transport Museum Depot open day and they had a model Class 421 4CIG in South Central livery, cost £200 according to the owner!

Well hornby have put a price tag of £167.50 on the 4VEP (DDC Fitted) and £149.99 on the non DCC one... Compared to bachmanns £130ish for the 4cep which will undoubtly has mroe detail than the Hornby ones will. Having said that Hornby do seem to be picking up their game, as far as detail goes. The 153 is outstanding.

Hopefully whne bachmann release the 350 it will have the same coupling system as the 150, so only 1 DDC chip is needed.

There are always 'Flying Scotsman' sets avalible in Modelzone and many other decent model shops so you'd have enough time to save up for one? Although I would go for a Bullied Pacific myself

It's not just any old flying scotsman set this one has two tenders, a cow catcher, a bell and a pullman observation car. It costs £170! Although i might just get a £50 railroad one.

Csalem will be happy to know that those Irish commuter trains that look like class 158s (Forgot the name) will arrive in shops in model form by bachmann by September. It will be in a train set form. I saw the poster for it when I went to my local model shop to get the latest Hornby catalog.

The First Great Western Class 158...

If Hornby can do the Class 43 in First Great Western livery. Bachmann should be able to do the 3 car First Great Western Class 158!
