Hi All,
Not sure if I am correct but I saw a train from a distance passing Ayton, in the Scottish Borders. It looked to me as if it was an Azuma train, and passed just before the usual sheduled service not long after - possibly between 1/2.

Can anyone confirm the movement at all? It was heading southbound towards Berwick.

Can't confirm for today but class 800s and 801s have been running back and forward for several weeks to Edinburgh while a G W liveried set ran up to Inverness a week or two back. Most of these workings have been covered in clips on YouTube.
I personally haven't seen any but my son has seen quite a few.
We're North of Ayton between Drem and Edinburgh.

There have been a couple of GWR 800's running to/from Doncaster West Yard today, however I'm not sure any ran northbound.

It was 800101 'Azuma' on test returning from Edinburgh to Doncaster IEP depot.

Further to my previous entry,my son tells me that VTEC have announced on Facebook that an Azuma is scheduled to be in Edinburgh Waverley between 12-37 and 1-17 pm all this week so this would be what you saw
