Ayrshire platform extensions?

Hello

Does anyone know what Ayrshire line platforms are getting extensions?

As the order for 38 Class 380s is apparently for 130 carriages, there's still going to be 3 carriage trains around and it seems most likely that some routes will still be exclusively served by them? If I'm right, I was wondering which routes it is! Glasgow - Ayr? Or would it be a big jump for Ayr to get extra carriages as well a third train per hour?

Woo hoo! One extra train a day from Neilston to Glasgow!!!

Oh yeah, and doubling the Glasgow - Shotts - Edinburgh and Glasgow - Kilmarnock services. But those aren't so important, so we'll chuck that in as an afterthought...

There's a cunning mix of 3 and 4 car trains, and the 380s will take over all services through Paisley Gilmour Street (so, to Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Largs, Ardrossan and Ayr). The 334s and 318s move exclusively to the North Clyde and Argyle lines, supporting services through Central Low Level and running the services via Airdrie and Bathgate to Edinburgh. Seeing as how there will be more units now that GARL is cancelled, there may well be service enhancements.

Whilst getting into Glasgow before 7am is great for South Siders, enhancements to Kilmarnock and Shotts services are more likely to make me jump for joy.

I'd never actually seen what traction was to be used on the Bathgate line - thanks for confirming
