I’ve just had a look at EMR’s Sunday timetable for London.

The website says Sheffield services are subject to change, and links to a revised timetable.

Main features of the SOUTHBOUND timetable appear to be:

* No services from Nottingham to London all day (despite website not mentioning no services) - services appear to start Beeston -NRE suggests Nottingham has hourly London service
* Sheffield services after 11:00 run to Corby and not to London, via Market Harborough without calling Kettering
* Kettering services take either no minutes or one minute to reach Wellingborough
* Most trains that call at both Luton and Luton Airport Parkway take between 15 and 20 minutes between the two
* All services from Luton Airport Parkway to London St Pancras take just three or four minutes

Meanwhile, NRE shows hourly no-change services from both Nottingham and Sheffield all the way through to London.

Does no one at EMR actually PROOF READ the website content and ensure it isn’t nonsense before putting it in the public domain? I feel like buying some of theee just for the fun of claiming delay repay (only joking). But we wonder why rail ridership is down….

Whatever software they use to produce that nonsense needs a kick. Obviously a lot of the times have slipped one row, but yes the proof reading seems to failed completely.

I was aware that the Midland Mainline has had seen some line speed improvements but wasn't aware that Kettering to Wellingborough now only took 60 seconds!!

Who needs HS2?

This company is becoming more of a joke by the day (no reflection on the train staff, always had really good experiences there actually - the management need a kick big time!)

Of course, @306024 is correct and they're out of alignment by one row. For example most trains stand at Kettering for one minute and (obviously) won't go to Corby via Market Harborough (my particular favourite quirk on that timetable...) But how hard, really, is this to get right?

Just realised for the Corby starters - this actually means it's not even showing their arrival time into St Pancras...
* Most trains that call at both Luton and Luton Airport Parkway take between 15 and 20 minutes between the two
Unfortunately this isn't even that outlandish - sometimes in service alterations there's so much pathing allowance that they end up standing for around 12 minutes at Parkway and another 3-5 at Luton. Very annoying.

Well I'll have a crack at it, but don't fancy my chances of success!
