What a fantastic day at Rugby yesterday, two steam railtours at the same time.
Duchess in platform 1 watering and A4 in up goods loop watering opposite each other. The sound of both engines whistling at each other on departure of the first train hauled by bittern will not be forgotten for a long time and the distant sound of whistling as they passed just outside the north of Rugby on the return trips.
A massive thank you goes out to all concerned and well done to network rail for sending out the freightliner early that was in the front loop blocking the view of the Duchess.
