Avanti west coast standard premium

Hi all,

I'm travelling on avanti west coast service on 24th February and was hoping to upgrade my advance ticket to premium economy.

I've looked on seat frog and it appears on that day all the other services are available for upgrade to standard premium but not the 9.48am train. On seat frog the train does appear for first class upgrade just not standard premium.

Does this likely mean there will be no standard premium seats on the train service I'm getting or will I still be able to upgrade on board the train.

Iv never upgraded a ticket before so any advice is welcomed.

Avanti are selling Standard Premium on that specific train so it looks like they haven’t given any availability to Seatfrog. You can upgrade on the train - just find an unreserved seat and pay when the conductor comes round. £35 from Carlisle I believe

Okay, I'm not sure then.

Certain Mon-Thurs services in the peak convey no Standard Premium (Coach H runs as First Class) but that's not one of them that I'm aware of.

It may be that AWC have simply not opened SP to Seatfrog on that train for some reason.

Perhaps others can advise, sorry I can't be more help.

Stacey, I've never yet not been able to upgrade. I think you'll be fine.
