Yes me too! I’m hoping if someone on the course sees this and maybe able to give some insight. I was told initially I’d be looking at a course in 2024 but of course that has been and gone, so now feel slightly concerned I won’t get on a course at all in the timeframeWolverhampton and just under 2 years. How long have you been waiting pal? What do you mean the government will be involved with them? That could potentially go in our favour do you not think? Because they may have to been seen to be taking action. I guess the wait till just have to continue for nowUnfortunately I think it’s just like a queue isn’t it . If it expires it expires . So you’d need to do it all over again . I’m just worried it doesn’t happen as the government will me in amongst the franchise next year . Think it just depends on sickness and people retiring and if more routes come on . Also I think they were short on trainers

I may be wrong) are looking for Manchester Trainee Drivers though.I have been waiting on Manchester since then but I keep hearing they only take on qualified drivers now so feel like they won’t ever give those of us in the talent bank a call.

Yeah I’m similar. Although I got put in the talent bank and they was told I’d be looking at a course in 2024, then have never had the call which is rubbish. I’ve been in the talent bank for over 2 years now along with many others. So I don’t think they have much need for trainees as a lot of qualified drivers go there

Highly doubt it im afraid. They mainly take qualified drivers because it’s where a lot of them aspire to move to, so not much need for trainees. There are those of us who have been in the talent bank for nearly 3 years now and I doubt we will even get offered a position.Does anyone know if avanti are planning on hiring for trainees again at some point? seeing alot of talent pool and courses and it’s been over 2 years so got my fingers crossed for something over the next year x

I have seen quite a few adverts for qualified drivers at the depot I am waiting on and am told there have only been 1 or 2 candidates per course for Manchester . So it’s pretty tough to remain hopeful. But I’ll continue to have my fingers crossed neverthelessI think you just need to stay positive and ride it out .
