Email specifically says they are focusing on Polmadie.

The email I received doesn’t say specifically Polmadie. It says multiple depots on a course?

Thanks for the information but going of other people getting courses don’t think it matters when the recruitment campaign was I believe there our other factors

It normally does for the depot involved, it’s one of the criteria TOCS/FOCS use when allocating places.
From following this thread and others it’s the specific depot need that can skew the recruitment order more than most of the other factors.

Passed computer tests at Polmadie today, waiting for CBI results now. Unsure how many people they are working through as there was only 3 of us there today.

It was this recruitment drive in question, and in the October before then in 2022. Based on the slow progression of applications along with depots like Euston being prioritised, I wouldn't expect to see those depots to be advertising any time soon.

They must of done 2023 too as there was two people from Liverpool in March 24 getting there comp tests and CBI at Crewe

There's a fair few! Batch I was in was back in August for stage 2 and CBI. Had been running all week. Waiting for dmi date, recent email from AWC suggest expect a call in the next few weeks!
You should hear your result of CBI early next week per usual OPC timings.

What's this? Didn't know there was an online portal with our applications.

Forget that careers website. Once you start onboarding, there’s an internal portal that you use to set up details.

The job application website is just for that and nothing else, you won’t ever use it again.

It’s going good thanks mate. Just out route learning now, also there’s not enough driving instructors to teach all the new trainees.

I’ve said to a few privately, If you’re into the trains and the railway, you’ll love it, even the classroom stuff but if you’re just chasing the money with zero interest in the job, it’ll show and you’ll get found out.

I am also waiting for the DMI, in Euston. I applied last year, in February.

I also would like to ask, as I am a little bit worried. I applied for a Trainee position with GTR. They accepted all of my tests from Avanti, but they asked me to take an extra one, to meet their enhanced score, which I did, and I was successful. Then I sat a DMI, which I also passed but then I stopped before the MMI, as I learned that this would replace my CBI, and I did not want to risk it. However, my question is, because I sat that test with GTR, for their enhanced score, does this affect my recruitment process with Avanti?

No as the extra test you sat is not used by Avanti, that being the DFFT.
