Still waiting on a course, not expecting to hear anything until October at the earliest, possibly later.

It certainly is! I didn't want to get to the point where one of us got through and the other didn't so definitely happy with the outcome!

Well it sounds like they are running lots of courses next year so hopefully not much longer now until you get a date.

You’re probably just in the later batch, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I know that’s easier said than done but no news is good news.

The early DMI’s heard back after 3 weeks, so give it the same amount of time and fingers crossed you’ll hear by the 29th of September or the 6th following month.

I had my interview on 7th September and got the news on 22nd. Mathematically you should hear in a day or 2 but I agree no news is good news! Seems like all emails fall in between 18:00 - 19:00 too!

Does anybody know how the courses will play out. I know they mentioned Crewe or Polmadie… will this be residential based and how long for? I’m sure I read it’s a 16 week residential course Monday to Friday.

Monday to Friday for approx 3-4 months as you read. You'll be put up in a hotel and either check in Sunday night (if travelling a long distance) or Monday morning and then checkout Friday to travel home.

Hi folks, looking to see if anyone is currrently in the same boat as me, I’m a polmadie applicant, I passed the initial 5 online tests and I am still awaiting to sit the other 2 but haven’t heard anything from the opc since around June, just wondering if anyone else is currently waiting also as I read that some applicants have had the 2 tests and have been invited to the in day testing.

Unfortunately whilst passing to National Standard I didn't achieve the enhanced for Avanti. Hopefully the feedback will provide the areas in which I fell short.

Im assuming quite a few as people are still going through the process

This might not be the answer you're looking for, but based on some posts I've read before, the courses are relatively small with about 8-10 people per classroom. However there is still a fair chance I could be wrong on that.

As long as its early next year!

There's 2 instructors in Crewe and 1 in Polmadie. Max of 10 people on each course and max of 3 courses in the year for each instructor. Realistically, more like 7-8 courses split across the 3 instructors, so 70-80 places next year. This is all speculation of course.
