Any idea when Avanti West Coast are recruiting for all depots again?

No chance of that. Chances are, people in this recruitment might not be on a course until the backend of 2024 if not 2025 realistically speaking. Courses are booked up throughout the entirety of this year already and there are plenty of people who are still waiting from the precious recruitment, some of which haven’t even had their DMI yet. That recruitment was started in September/October 2022 and the people from that one won’t be starting until some point in 2024. A year and a half+ is what you should be expecting if it runs the same

Edit just read further, in application pool, will hear back within 6 weeks.

But been successful for next stage.

oh wow, got my m7 test two weeks ago but didnt include the vse test. wonder whats going on there.

Congratulations mate and good luck with your DMI! Do they send people home if they fail any of the computer tests on the day or is it like stage 1 and get an email after

Thanks mate. You complete all the computer tests one after the other and then you all wait for the results. If you fail any of them then you don't do the CBI and get sent home. If you do the CBI then it's like stage 1 and you get an email a few days later. Good luck!

Hi guys. More of a general question... How does Avanti's enhanced compare with other TOC's? If I have a set of enhanced passes from another TOC would these qualify for Avanti? I know there is no one 'enhanced' standard and they can vary from TOC to TOC but I just wasn't sure how different they are and whether it's only for specific tests at stage 1 or 2 rather than the all of them? Thanks in advance.

The VSE might be done in person for Avanti, i.e., at the OPC test centres. Avanti have a pretty high bar on these assessments even the ones that are usually done at home.

Not usually no. I've only ever done this at home but I had an email a while back saying that they may request this at the centre.

Genuinely, nobody knows except the OPC mate.

Same here. Online assessment done on 13th of March, 6 weeks email on 6th of April. Still waiting

Yeah same dates as myself, I had the 19th of May ear-marked as the day I should hopefully get some feedback so fingers crossed.

six weeks would be next Thursday (6th april), and yeah if u want u could pop them an email but i would wait untill next week

It wasn't too bad. I went out the lines quite a few times but got better with each one, although I came out thinking I'd failed! You get a couple of practices beforehand to get a feel for it so make the most of that before starting.

Congratulations on passing stage 2 badger. Any advice for it I have mine on Thursday and what practice materials did you use thanks in advance.
