Think people need to relax on here, you will be contacted when you’re contacted. Asking repeatedly the same questions over and over, isn’t going to A. change the answer you’re hoping for and B. make things move any faster.

This thread gonna see a huge drop of popularity after the the first sift.
(I probably won't be here long too after I received my rejection e-mail)

My deadline was yesterday @12:49 I’ve not heard anything as yet ‍♂️
We obviously aren't good enough then!

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

For this set of tests I found out about 5 hours after my deadline, which was midday.
What did the email say? Just that you were successful, or was there some information on the next set of tests?

Send a screenshot so we can gather what’s next. Cheers

Find it a little strange that you have had your test results back from the questionnaire when apparently you’re already in the talent bank after successfully passing your DMI. ‍♂️

Guys, can you just relax?

It’s not been very long whatsoever. Nothing that’s being posted at the moment is of any use to anyone.

If you want to find out what’s next then look at the Avanti website - everything is there.

This thread is just becoming a bunch of people saying things that do not contribute whatsoever - just have a bit of patience and do your research.

Mate he didn't say he had his test results back from THIS recruitment.
He was mentioning when he did in the last recruitment the time scale of when he recieved his results.
He is in the Talent pool, his process is complete, he doesn't need to be here.
Hes just trying to help you guys because you're all like rabid rabbits right now.

All the stages of recruitment are on the Avanti site.
You're all in stage 1 and 1.5.
Stage 2 clearly states if successful you will be invited for the VSE and M7 online test.

I agree with Chippy Chips... If you take any advice from these forums it's that you need to have some serious patience. Just to put things in perspective I applied with another TOC in July 2020, had to wait 2 years to do the OPC assesment centre tests at Watford and 9months on I'm still waiting for the final DMI Interview hence I've since applied with 2 other TOCs. Strap yourselves in it's gonna be a bumpy ride if your lucky enough to get through each stage.

So the online questionnaire/assessments we’ve done so far were the Avanti - KQ2, PQ, SJT, TB-DT, and TB-NTS.

Do the VSE AND M7-SJT follow this?

Good luck everyone. Carry on with life for now, and try to keep yourselves distracted from refreshing your emails every hour!

It does, read it carefully.
It doesn’t mention anywhere the questionnaires/assessments that I listed, hence why I asked which stage they are. They’re not mentioned on 1.5.

The link takes you to the Avanti website which gives you a step by step guide to the process.
Which I looked at before I applied…

FOLLOWING THE QUESTIONNAIRE, if successful, individuals will be invited to complete the below online assessments that look at skills required to be a successful train driver:

  • Visual Search Exercise - Tests for the following competencies:
Focus on visual cues, multitasking, maintaining concentration, and ability to remain situationally aware
  • Magnificent 7 Situational
    Judgement Test (M7-ST) -
  • Tests for the following competencies: Conscientious, Humility, Motivated, Pride, Responsible, Risk Focus, Supportive

Thanks for copying and pasting… but all I’ve been asking is are we on stage 1.5 or stage 2? ‍♀️

My guess is there has been many more then expected applicants because of their recent ads so they added an extra stage to sift more out.
Honestly nobody here knows any more then you do because if we do we wouldn't be here but working for Avanti HR.

I believe the questionnaires you listed all form part of the “online questionnaire” they refer to, next step after this is the M7 and VSE

The OPC questionnaire is stage 2. Stage 1.5 is just checking your age and distance from the depot.

The extra stage of my guess here is the 5 test we just did

Thank you. It’s just odd that they didn’t mention the ones listed in the first email from the OPC, so I was looking for a bit of clarification from perhaps someone that applied for the pervious “intake”.

No you asked if the visual search exercise and the M7ST was next. I don’t know why you have the female sign in your reply.

Just for peace of mind for a few people - I’ve heard from someone that trains drivers that if you’ve made it through the first sift - be very proud of yourselves. Ignore the posts saying that literally anyone can make it through the first sift.

Which no one answered… I was just sent screenshots of stage 2.

The “female sign” was an emoji that must have been changed when I tried to post it. Not trying to insinuate anything…

They expected 20% of applicants to be women but end up having more then 50%,

Probably iphone/andriod emojis PC or this website doesn't has the pack installed:lol::lol::lol:
Do you know the total number that have applied in 2023? Are more than 50% really female? That’s insane. I came from an industry where only 2% of the workforce are female.
