Wolves would be your best bet as apparently the north west and Scottish depots have been filled up with internal trainees. Rarely advertise for those and Liverpool not at all.

Don't think there is a plan for a depot at Brum but Crewe is supposed to be happening. I'd imagine it will take over the north Wales coast stuff from Liverpool and Manchester which inturn will potentially make those two depots rather limited routes wise. I believe a depot at Holyheqd was also mentioned?

Thank you.

Brum would be very logical in few years, I suppose, as it has very central location to the new geographical coverage of the expanded franchise, but perhaps to early to ask.
Anyhow , what routes do the Wolves ( and Liverpool, Manchester ) do?

At the moment Manchester and Liverpool do Euston via TV and BNS plus the north Wales coast. Think Manc also do Preston. Manc don't sign Liverpool and Liverpool doesn't sign Manc.
Wolves I believe do Euston and up and far as Preston. Don't think they do liv or Manc, unsure on Chester also. Think they do the central rivers depot as well. Hopefully someone who works for Avanti can clarify for you.

Unless things have changed from a few years ago:

Wolves:
Preston - London direct and via West Midlands
Wolves - Shrewsbury
Birmingham - Central Rivers

Liverpool:
Liverpool - London direct and via West Midlands
Crewe - Holyhead
Chester - Wrexham

Manchester:
Manchester - London direct and via West Midlands
Crewe - Holyhead
Crewe - Preston

All depots sign most diversions you could expect. Wolves and Manchester have seniority based links - so Shrewsbury at the former and Holyhead/Preston at the latter are places a new recruit isn't likely to see any time soon. Bottom link at Manchester is 390 only, at the other depots there's 221 work too.
