Checking for journeys from Birmingham NS to London this Sunday, the Avanti and National Rail journey planners are both showing 2 trains per hour at xx47 and xx21. Including trains arriving at Euston well after 20:00. However, Realtime trains and Opentrain times are only showing one train an hour at xx21, with the last train departing 1621 arriving Euston 1755.

Does anyone know what will actually be running? I was hoping to catch a train leaving Birmingham after 1630.

I could alternatively travel via Crewe. Again, journey planners are showing an 1822 Avanti service from Crewe, but RTT and OTT are showing the last Avanti service from Crewe as the 1654.

The strike timetable has just been uploaded tonight; Double check in the morning but assume RTT is correct.

National Rail's disruption page states 1tph, the same as the Sunday just gone.

It also states:
The amended timetable for strikes dates is not currently shown in the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner. The Journey Planner will be correct for the following strike dates as follows:

  • Sunday 16 February’s strike timetable is expected to be published by the afternoon of Wednesday 12 February

On last Sunday the last Avanti train to Euston was at 1719.

In which case, 1621 is the last and only WMR after that.

Thanks both for the info. Avanti were previously saying that they would upload the timetable and open booking of tickets each Monday for the following Sunday, so I had assumed that everything would be up-to-date by Tuesday. However, I see that they have now changed this to Tuesday. If in practice this means Tuesday night, it looks like you now have to wait until Wednesday to find out what services they are running.

I have now re-checked the journey planners, and the services have now been cut. However, they are still showing an Avanti service departing Crewe @ 1904, going via Birmingham NS @ 2021 and arriving Euston @ 2207. This train does not appear on either RTT or OTT, so I am assuming this is an error.
