On Friday 28th August I had an Advance for the 12:34 Manchester Piccadilly - London Euston service, which was due to arrive in London at 14:41. When I got to the station I discovered it was cancelled so I was directed to catch the delayed 11:55 service instead. This eventually arrived in London at 15:14.
I presume I'm entitled to delay repay based on the delay between 14:41 and 15:14 - is that correct? Or is the system more generous than I'd expect, and I'm entitled to the full 65 minute delay that the service I caught suffered?
Also, when filling in the form on the Avanti delay repay website what should I be selecting in the journey details section? The train I had a ticket for, or the train I caught?
