Avanti Advances Sun 12th Jan

I'm looking into the costs of travel from Preston to Oxford next weekend. It's easy enough to get a bargain priced Advance to New Street, and thence an Open Return to Oxford - but I was surprised to see all Advance fares are marked as "sold out" from New Street on the 12th. Having checked RTT, the trains seem to be running (though terminating at Preston), and Advances are available for purchase for this Sunday coming, the 5th. Any ideas?

Or, more likely, to prevent people booking for trains that won't be running.
