Does anyone know what the 6.36 Avanti service is from Crewe to Euston? You can't buy tickets but it appears on the platform departure board with a TBC for the platform.

Is this one of the Covid cut-back journeys that is on hold?

It's a Liverpool - Euston train that isn't scheduled to stop at Crewe (that is the time it passes through) - so either an additional stop for some reason, or the app/data is wrong

Must have been an extra stop due to the first LIV-EUS being cancelled this morning.

Quite possibly. However, did the train in question actually call at Crewe, or just run through, non-stopping?

Normally, its timetabled to take maybe one minute between Crewe North Junction and Crewe Basford Hall Junction. Today it took six minutes.

I didn't see it whilst hanging around the main platform areas but then I headed over to Platform 12 which is a bit out of the way. There was a delayed Avanti there heading to Holyhead.

It called at Crewe for two minutes, platform five.

Thanks for confirming. Believe the service in question was just over ten minutes arriving into Euston, no doubt the additional call at Crewe, although appreciated by those delayed by the earlier cancellation, didn't do a lot for Avanti's overall punctuality statistics.
