What would be the scope for recycling these seats into 3+2-fitted 150/1s..?

If they have the ex-fNW seats, then easily enough, they're the same just in 3+2 formation without armrests.

What's the expected lifespan of re-furbished seats/seat-covers these days..?

The 350/1s are about 13 years old and the seat covers are in need of replacement, if that's any guide. Notably, that and the carpet are the only part of the interior that actually looks 13 years old - they really are wearing very well compared with Bombardier's vastly inferior product.

so is arriva paying £250k for one unit or £250k for all of them to be refreshed? they cost just slightly less to build per unit, plus why arnt the leasing company footing the bill? they own the units
