atw shunter driver and trainee train driver

Hi there im new to this so be kind lol just wondered if anyone has applied for the two jobs in the title and if so have u had any reply?i havnt had any reply yet :/

HI, i applied for trainee driver at cardiff, ive tracked my application and it says shortlisting, but does not give any specific details, but no i havent had any reply yet, they say no news is good news, but will see....

ATW take ages to short list, they've advertised a lot of vacancies as well recently so I expect HR are very busy.

I applied end of January last year, closing date was 21st.
I had interview middle of march, and assessments beginning of April....HTH

HST thats very true they have abvertised alot of jobs!good point.carl thats a big help thanks,i thought they might take a while. I got a feeling i may have a reply for shunter driver first as maybe it might not be as popular as the trainee train driver?i really hope i get a chance

The last time I had an interview for ATW, it was just over three months from the closing date. They were not in a heavy phase of recruitment at the time.

They probably will be. I saw the Training Manager late last year and they are doing a lot of training this year, as well as what looks to be a lot of recruiting.

Try and be patient, but I know it's not easy!

No, it's not easy waiting!!
I passed the assessments in April and had to wait till middle of August for next phone call to be invited for the SI and medical, it was a killer waiting.

So, from the closing date of Jan 21st till actually getting to last stage was just over 7 months............ be patient.

Another question lol....does the application status ever change?only change i have seen is vacancy status from advertising to shortlisting...just wondered...
