Last Friday the train track broke whilst we were at llandudno jn (heading to bangor) this led to delays to (I think) around 2 hours 30. My ticket was an off peak st helens junction to bangor gwynedd off peak return.

How do I claim, and what will I be likely to recieve? Do I need to send off my ticket (I had it endorsed by a TM at llandudno jn showing I was late to show proof to my university.

also does anyone know why my other threads/messages I have posted aren't showing up, and how to fix that. I assume it's because this is a new account, but I am unsure of where to find information about it.

thank you very much, I also found that page including the form, however my delay was due to damage to the rail track and not the weather (although it may have caused the damage) I was also wondering if I had to send in my railcard proving my ticket was valid> thank you for your reply!

If ATW claim that it was caused by the weather then you may not get compensation, otherwise you will be eligible.

Arriva Trains Wales cannot accept claims for compensation when the delay is caused by matters outside the rail industry’s control such as vandalism, terrorism or exceptionally severe weather affecting most modes of transport.

You need to send the original ticket only, if you are requesting monetary compensation rather than rail vouchers.

Please note that if requesting monetary compensation the original tickets (not copies) must be submitted to us at the time of making a claim.

Roll on the days when all TOCs have to adhere to Delay Replay so it will be compensation regardless of what caused the delay for 30+ minutes.
