Yesterday afternoon I went to catch the 1529 train from Llanelli to Swansea. The previous service, the 1501 which originated in pembroke Dock, arrived at 1528 as a 150 with Cheltenham on the front. It pulled up almost at the end of the platform and the conductor and driver both called out 'Cardiff only' not Swansea'. The doors were only opened once the conductor was sure that everyoen gettign on knew it was first stop Cardiff.

Does anyone know what happened? The Pembroke Dock - Swansea train normally stays on the route all day! Was it sent to Cardiff to cover for a failure? What then happened to the 1605 ex Swansea that it normally forms? I guess another Pemborke Dock might be terminated at Carmarthen to provide a connection onwards from there, allowing passengers to use the 1600?

Any information would help to satisfy my curiosity!
