Hi,

This seems to be shrouded in secrecy as to how it works, but if I have an AP for the 1716 CDF-SHR in standard class, can I upgrade in advance to business class for the £15 supplement at a ticket office, or do I have to wait until on the day on the train, or is the upgrade not valid on an advance?

Thanks

The supplement is available from any ticket office. The ticket is just your origin to destination, route is Arriva Trains Wales only or similar (it stands out in my TIS so hopefully will in others!) and the ticket type is PCU.

for example.

I have personally used it with an Advance with no issues - I am sure someone has said somewhere it may not be valid with an Advance but I can't find it now in my three second search!

How does the this compare to the now comical Chiltern trains 'Business Zone'? 25 quid for an apple and a bottle of pop.

Absolutely gorgeous - nothing like it. Three course meal served on proper plates with proper cutlery and free soft drinks. Have been on it a few times and going on it again in a month's time for my birthday!
