Today, whilst on a trip to Chester, I crossed over the rail bridge near to Roodee Junction, just after I crossed the bridge, I could hear a train approaching the bridge.
Looked through a small gap in the trees to see an Arriva 57 T&T and Arriva rolling stock. There didn't seem to be any passengers on board so it must have been an ECS.
On Wikipedia, it says that ATW have a daily express service from Cardiff and Holyhead with Mark 2 rolling stock. Therefore, the 57s must have been 57314 and 57315.
I've never heard of these workings before. How often do they run?
PS: The train was heading towards Chester at about 11:55.
