"Attention Conductor, '___ ____' activated". - EMR sprinter

I'm currently on a EMR class 156 from Peterborough to Lincoln and an automated voice keeps saying the above on the tannoy every minute or so. I can't make out the blank word/words over the engine noise. Any one got any ideas what this is?

I’m willing to bet it was

It was! "Call for aid activated" - still a slightly spooky thing to hear over the PA system, I've never heard it before .

Got used to that when travelling on LNER, but never heard it on an EMR unit. Was it one of the former GA units?

Nah. It is the TrainFX system fitted to the EMT 156 and 158 units.

The Anglia unit call for aids emit an ear splitting screech.

Must be a new feature for TrainFX , the Northern ones are in the process of being upgraded to this too

The northern units have has this since TrainFX was introduced.

The ATW units have been able to do this for years, but they also have had TrainFX from around 2011/2012 too.

We used to play the game of seeing how far south you could get from Edinburgh (or Glasgow on a pendalino) before the alarm was pulled.... usually into England but rarely beyond Doncaster/Crewe. Even when I travelled (accidentally) with the Tartan Army on rememberance day when they played England at Wembley it was much further into the South when it was accidentally pulled - I assume most are accidental and not a real alarm. It would be interesting to know how often it is "real". Any East Coast guards out there who have experience of this?
Note - the guard on that train asked for a minutes silence at 11:00 and the entire coach of supporters I was in fell silent. A very lively but civilised trip, that really didn't warrant the police presence at Kings Cross. Of course we were beaten, but you have to have dreams!
