Nothing, the threat to reduce the two trains per hour has been fought off again this year.

Funny definition of connections mind!! Its a lovely place to spend an hour when they can't be bothered to hold it for the last running 350/DMU, top passenger facilities available...

True that - still confuses me as to why, after about 5pm, LM trains go via the Stafford avoiding line and appear at Stone junction :s

On the plus side of Rugeley TV, at least you can watch some stuff go through at speed :D

I thought that the trains connected to the northbound and from the southbound 350's so anybody travelling from London would always just miss the train to Brum.

Anyway why would you go that way and not via Brum?

That is correct, there is a very short connection from Rugeley branch to NB Trent Valley and opposite direction, there is at least 25mns on Rugeley TV for anyone going from the branch to London and vv.

Anyway why would you go that way and not via Brum?

Advance fares or other cheap fares on LM Trent Valley service?

If there was a decent connection it would be quicker to Euston from Walsall & stops to Rugeley to change at Rugeley TV than to change at BHM using LM throughout.

Rugeley TV is always quite busy so you can keep yourself occupied. The following gallery was taken over the space of 90 minutes and I missed pictures of a couple of southbound freights because Pendolinos were in the way.

The northbound connection from Euston to Walsall only works on 50% of occasions. The southbound connection works virtaully every time as the southbound services sit in Stafford for 11 minutes waiting a path.

If the connections were better then i agree it would be the best way to go but presumably fares would be about the same either way.

Mind you I would prefer a change at Rugeley rather than that hell hole they call Birmingham New St.

However Birmingham has 3x the amount of trains, therefore a shorter dwell time, which should always be less than 20 mins.
