Assessments for 2 different TOC's

With all the wisdom and experience here on the Forum, I hope someone can help with my dilemma.

I have applied to two different TOC's for the same job (trainee train driver) and both assessments fall in the same month.

Is it the case, that if I fail the assessment with the first TOC, then I cannot take the assessment with the second TOC? Do I have to wait 6 months?

As above though there is a possible complication, and that's the two levels of passes to consider

I recently 'failed' a assessment to enhanced level, which meant I went no further through the process. However I passed to the national standard, so technically (according to the chap I spoke to at the OPC anyway) I can apply for other positions more or less straight away, as there's not actually a 'fail' against my record.

So it seems - depending on the toc you apply for and the standards they set and the standards you actually meet, it might not always be the case that not getting through is the end of things, even for 6 months.

If anybody knows better, please let me know.

That's right dakta, if a company is working on enhanced their "pass" may be different to another company. When you undertake the assessments you should always be told if you've "passed" in terms of the national standard as that's the minimum a company will be able to accept. However if you fail due to enhanced standards don't assume it's a no across the board.....however your "national standard" pass will be the one you take forward and the tests can't be re-sat within 6 months whatever happens....sorry a bit of a mouthful!
