Hi All,

Have an assessment day for dispatch this week, anyone have any advice or info on how it will pan out?

(At least I think it's the dispatch job as I applied for ticket office too, but one of the tests says about Safety so I'm assuming it's the dispatch) and the email only says "Customer Service" but both jobs (dispatch and ticket office showed under customer service on the site when I applied)

I've been told there's 4 tests, two of which I've got examples for, one where you cross out certain letters, and another where it gives you a passage of railway rules and you have to answer the questions.

Anyone know from past experience how easy/hard it is and have any advice that may help?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
The first test you will be expected to do will be the Group Bourdon. There is more than plenty of information on here relating to that. Accuracy is key with this one. You are expected to get a certain distance down each page. You are very definitely not expected to finish it. The second one you mentioned is exactly what you've described. You will be given a passage of text, you will be allowed to make notes, and then it will be taken away. Then you answer questions on what you've read.
