Not all the locos will be allocated for sleeper work and I imagine they will be periodically exchanged with examples on the former Southern Region.

Inverness isn't that bad I've been to plenty worse.

Plenty worse, your right but you'd think when they recently painted the concourse a better colour could be picked then grey and the roof is fair overdue some tlc.

Going through this thread, I see kermit has already mentioned it and perhaps I'm being stupid, but all joking aside, what is the logic for using the 73s so far removed from a third rail? I'm working on the basis that the DC equipment is being retained in the rebuilt/refurbed locos.

I don't think they will stay purely on sleepers but swap round with other 73's that are in 3rd rail land so they will still have use for their shoes. Other than 73's what else should gbrf use, they will have a fleet of refurbished locos of acceptable power and eth capability (double headed where required) so want to get use of them.

Will it be the case that three 73s are allocated for the three different Scottish portions of the sleeper or would there be a requirement for a spare or two?

What currently happens if a 67 fails?
