Ashington Line - Rover Validity

Ashington is now within the validity area of the Tyne and Tees Day Ranger and the North East Rover.

Is there an official source anywhere online that confirms this? I'm planning a trip to Ashington on a North East Rover this weekend and if I get a jobsworth guard, I don't think "Someone on the Railforums website said it was valid" will convince them!

The Rovers page on Northern's own site has a section on the North East Rover and it includes this map which does show validity up to Ashington. I would think that would class as an official enough source?
